Editorial-Only Blocks
Singular Alerts can mark an alert block as Editorial Only so it appears in the block editor but does not render on the frontend.
When to Use Editorial-Only Mode
- Author notes and reminders (“Do not edit this section — legal review required”).
- Editor-to-editor instructions during content review.
- Workflow markers visible only to users with block editor access.
- Draft-stage callouts you do not want visitors to see.
Enabling Editorial-Only Mode
- Select an alert block in the editor.
- Open the block Settings sidebar panel.
- Enable Editorial Only (or Block Editorial Only).
The alert remains fully visible and editable in the block editor. On the frontend, the block outputs nothing — no HTML, no styles, no scripts.
Shortcodes
Editorial-only mode is a block editor feature. Shortcodes always render on the frontend when used in content areas that process shortcodes.
